BOROUGH INSPECTION.
PROTECTING THE PUBLIC.
"Seeing that the summer months an; approaching, I suggest that the borough inspector should make a full inspection of all, food shops in the borough and •present a report to this council," said Mr. E. R. Greenfield at last night's meeting of the Mount Eden Borough Council. "If this is done, then we will know that when the warm weather comes we, at least, have a clean borough." /. -Mr. R. Mills: I strongly support that. I have had a complaint of a lock-up shop in the borough in which a China--man carries on the business of a | fruiterer. I don't know, but I am given to understand that he sleeps in the one room at the back of the shop among the bananas. •' " Mr. Greenfield's suggestion that an inspection of .all;.:the shops be made by the building inspector was adopted.
