YOUTH FOR CHRIST.
CAMPAIGN TO CONTINUE,
LUNCH-HOUR SERVICES.
At a meeting held last night suggestions were discussed for the continuation of the "Youth for Christ" campaign, which concluded last Sunday. It wa3 recommended that the Council of Christian Congregations should continue to hold ' lunch-hour meetings of two sessions, one day each week for a month.
"Unless steps are taken immediately in some spiritual way, like all inspirations that flourish for a time, the work of the campaign will soon mean no more to the community," said the Rev. S. J. tVerren, secretary of the Auckland ■Ministers' Association.
.The chaifman, the Rev. H, S. Squires, thanked the various speakers for their suggestions, and the meeting for its unanimous vote in favour of continuing the campaign. If after a month the support of the weekly lunch-hour meeting warranted it, there was nq. reason why one day a week should not be devoted to evangelical work at open-air services and in city factories, and another day to devotional services.
