CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION.

£150,000 TO' BE SUBSCRIBED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The first normal steps the formation of a public company to manage the Centennial Exhibition were taken at a meeting of the citizens' committee to-day. Subsequently the Mayor, Mr. T. 'C. A. Hislop, said that all the principal points were' finalised and the necessary documents would be completed, the company formed and an application made for registration within the -Jnext few days. The actual capital to be subscribed will be' £150,000, which, together with subsidies promised, by the Government of £75,000, will be sufficient to cover the cost of launching the" project. Mr.- Hislop said definitely that Rongotai will be the site of the exhibition.
