' 4. meeting of delegates from various women's organisations was conyencd hy the national affairs group of the New Women's Club, and met on Monday, it was resolved to write to the Prime Minister,. Mr. Savage, asking whether it would be convenient to receive a deputation in Auckland. The object of this deputation would be to ask the Prune Minister to reintroduce his bill of ltwproviding for the endowment of motherhood. As a very wide representation Was desired the New Women s Club offered to send speakers to any society. The chairman, Mrs. Irwin, explained that the Endowment of was an unassailable principle ..'hen considered in its relation to the basic wage and the cost of production.
