SOCIAL WORKER'S DEATH.
MRS. H. NIELSEN.
The late Mrs. N. Nielsen, whose death occurred at the week-end, was a wellknown social worker in the and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hermann, of ' Copenhagen, Denmark. Right up to . the time o.f her death sha was an active worker in the c ause of the welfare of the women and children of Auckland.
At her funeral, which took place yesterday afternoon, there were many beautiful floral emblems as a token of esteem in which she was held, many of the women's organisations of the city sending representatives. The representatives included: Mrs. H. Col will and Miss L. Langsford (Auckland branch of the National Council of Women); Mrs. M. Dreaver, J.P.. Mrs. A. Turner (associate branch of the National Council of Women); Mrs. N. Davenport (house committee of the National Council of' Women); Miss B. Carnachan, Miss Waddingham (Institute for the Care and Education of Backward Children); Mrs. Lewis Eady. Mrs. G. Marsh, Mrs. St. Clair Wollams, Mrs. A. O'Neill (Community Sunshine Association) ; Mrs. J. T. F. Mitchell. Mrs. A. Anpelbv, Mrs. A. Blackie. Miss Scott (Women ' Divisions of the Farmers TTnion)* Mrs. Preston Chambers, Mrs. C Bates. Mr. J. B. Donald. J.P.. (New Zealand Society for the Pro 4 ect '°v, 1 Women and Children); Mrs. H. Bolitlw (Hospital Ladies' Auxiliary). Mrs. Nielsen is sun-wed by her husband and two daughters. Mrs. Robin Nixon, of Lauriston Avenue, Remuera. and Mrs. Abretch, of Bur wood, Melbourne. Australia. A beautiful service was conducted at tlin.house and crematorium by the Rev. Mary Dreaver.
