PREVENTION OF CRUELTY.
The monthly meeting of the ladies committee of the Society for the j.revention of Cruelty to Animals was held at the clinic last evening. Mrs. Spencer Mason presided. Opportunity was taken to farewell Mrs. A. H. Farmer, who is leaving for a holiday in Australia, Mrs. Mason conveying the best wishes of members for a pleasant voyage. Arrangements were finalised for the holding of a spring fair and conveners for the various stalls were elected. Members present included: Mesdames I. R. Goodman, J. J. Kearney, A. C. Green, Bushel!, Sparrow, A. G. Frankham, J. J. Sullivan, E. L. Burton. Wilkinson, Barry, Scott, A. C. Chaney, Campbell Paterson, and Misses V. Lane and L. Mooa,
