LABOURERS' DISPUTE.

CONCILIATION COUNCIL WAGES AND CONDITIONS. Local body labourers to-da} r met representatives of Auckland local bodies within a radius of 10 miles, in conciliation council this morning, tlie commissioner, Mr. P. Hally, presiding. Theie was considerable argument concerning tlie classification of and the question of holidays, many points being deferred for later argument. When the council adjourned at 1 p.m. there had been little agreement 011 the major points at issue. The emnlovers were represented by Messrs. W. E. Anderson, secretaiy Employers' Association. H. H. Watkiiis, Auckland Suburban Drainage Board, D. Holderness, Auckland Harbour Board, A. O. Glass, Auckland Electric Power Board, and S. S. Green, Dcvonport 801ough Council. The employees' representatives were H. Clews. E. MacLeod, B. McGeehan and A. F. Newbold. (Proceeding.)
