FANCY DRESS SOCIAL.

BOYS' BRASS BAND. An enjoyable fancy dress social was held on Saturday evening, when the Ponsonby Boys' Brass Band held their party m the Band Hall, Ponsonby. The hall was beautifully decorated with streamers and spring flowers, and the bright costumes made a colourful and gay ensemble. Mrs. Alexander Follick judged the costumes. Prize-winners were: Best dressed couple, English lady and Prince Charming, Shirley Wilson and Clifford Wilson; most original costume, charlady, Marjorie Richards; second prize, hula girl, Lois Cash; best dressed boy, American coon, Peter Cash; second prize, Dutch boy, J. Davis; most original, after school holidays, Jack Scholes; consolation prizes, F. Brooks and Pat Cocoran.
