VOLCANIC OUTBURST.

AN EARTHQUAKE SEQUEL LOSS OF LIFE IN COLUMBIA. BOGOTA, Columbia. A volcanic eruption showered the Tuquerres area, near the Ecuador border, with ashes and lava, in tho wake of an earthquake which levelled Tuquerres and damaged seven other towns.

Fourteen were known dead -and 22 were gravely injured as a result of the 'quake. Most of the injured were women and children.

Heavy 'quake damage was reported, Tuquerres, a town of 30,000, was reported in ruins. Destruction extended to Pasto, Tulcan, San Gabriel, Santander, Yascual and Panamal. Two hours after the major temblor struck, the Gonzales and Garzon families engaged in a political feud on Tuquerres streets. One person was killed, another wounded, before renewed 'quakes ended tho fight.
