NO MORE BRIDGE.

CULBERTSON'S DREAM. TIRED AND DISAPPOINTED. COPENHAGEN. Eli Culbcrtson announced he was finished with public bridge for good. In an interview with the Copenhagen newspaper, "Ekstrabladet," Mr. Culbcrtson, who is now in Stockholm, said he would appear in no more public matclics and would retire also from the presidency of the United States Bridge Association.

"I am tired—that is all," he said. "Personal ambition and narrow grudges between leading bridge players of the different countries have spoiled my dream of unifying all the world's bridge players."

Mr. Culbertson went to Stockholm yesterday for the European bridge tournament of thirteen nations, which was won by the Austrian team, with a score of 1070 points. Hungary came second with 1014, and Holland third with 1570. Austria also won the women's tournament.
