PRESENTATION DANCE.
VAUXHALL TENNIS CLUB,
There was a good attendance of dancers at the Pirate Shippe last night when the annual prize presentation dance of the Vauxhall Tennis Club was held. The guests were received by the president, Mr. K. G. Stokes, and Mrs. Stokes, the latter wearing a tunic frock of parnia velvet and gold souple satin. The Mayor of Devonport, Mr. H. P. W. Meikle, presented the prizes which had been won during the year. He has accompanied by the Mayoress, Mrs. Meikle, who wore a frock ot black Chantilly lace and georgette. Members of the ladies' dance committee comprised: Mrs. F. Warner, who wore a frock of black panne velvet and silver lame; Mrs. Ruth Harvey, ice blue matelasse; Miss Kuth Wallace, bottle green velvet; Miss Margaret Busliell, briar rose lace; Miss Connie Respinger, black crepe with silver thread; Miss Kay Nash, marine green crepe suede; Miss Marie Spicfer, Naples blue matelasse. Among those present were: Mesdames P. R. Hartnoll, K. Harvey, Jim Owen, B. Alexander, A. A. Wallace, Bruce Elworth, D. Campbell, Sydney Wynyard, Maurice Meikle, G. Carter, J. H. Holmes, Gordon Shand, W. Murfitt, Misses Maida Screaton (Helensville), Dorothy Brooks, Sadie Palmer, Florrie Latta, Nairc Baker, Joan Smalley, Marjorio Casbolt, Beryl Campbell, Madge lvennings, Edna Levet, Nancy Power.
