COROMANDEL ASSOCIATION
The most successful monthly social and dance for the season, held under the auspices of the Old Coromandel County Girls and Boys' Association, took place at the Druids' Hall, Newton, on Tuesday evening. The first Monte Carlo was won by Misses Somerville and Prescott, while Miss Cullen and Mr. Kelcher won the second. The lady's prize in the 300 competition went to Mrs. O'Rorke, and Mrs. White woil the gentlemen's prize. Mrs. White received the lady's consolation prize, and Mr. Rutledge the gentlemen's consolation prize. Supper was served by the ladies of the committee, Mesdames Barrett, Dear, George, Peebles and Parker.
