EDUCATION BOARD.

POSTAL BALLOT RESULT. TWO NEW MEMBERS ELECTED. The postal ballot to fill vacancies on the Auckland Education Board caused through the retirement of a number of members by rotation has resulted as follows:— Auckland Urban Area.—Messrs. W. H. Fortune, C. R. Munro, T. U. Wells. Hamilton Urban Area: Mr. F. A. Snell (unopposed). North Ward of the Rural Area: Mr. G. S. B. Morrison. East Ward: The Hon. A. Burns. West Ward: Mr. J. Primrose.

Messrs. Fortune and Morrison are the tinly new members of the board. Mr. Morrison will fill the vacancy caused through the recent death of Mr. R. Hoe. Mr. Fortune defeated a sitting member, Mr. G. Brownlee.
