FRACAS AT DANCE.
INCIDENT AT HAMILTON. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON', Monday. A fracas, in which police aid was sought, developed outside the Frankton Town Hall 011 Saturday evening, where a dance was ii» progress. It appears that two men, who were alleged to have been under the influence of liquor, attempted to gate-crash and assaulted the doorkeeper w"hen the latter accosted them. The proprietor, Mr. W. S. Manzies, stated that he noticed a scuffle at the door, and found the doorkeeper on the floor with two men fighting him. He put the men out and went for the police. On liis return he found that another light had taken place, and one of the contestants was being placed in a car with his head badly cut.
