COMMERCE STREET.
PROPOSED WIDENING.
TRANSFER OF LAND.
In connection with the proposal to widen Commerce Street, the Postmaster,General, the Hon; F. Jones, advised the Auckland City Council last evening that his Department was prepared Ut transfer to the council the necessaiy land on the old station site for the sum of £4008, this being the price at which the land had been taken over from the Railway Department. The- matter was referred to the municipal transport centre sub-com-mittee for a i'eport. ■
