OPERATIC SOCIAL.
An informal social evening was held by the Auckland Amateur Operatic Society in its rooms in Grafton Road, when there was a splendid attendance, over 200 being present. A humorous quartet was given by Max Wilkinson, Dick Sessions, Theo Do Lange and Bill Croft. Miss Judith Glover sang a song, and taking part in a one-act play entitled "World Without Men," were Joan Thomas, Esmey Burclier, Edna Craig, Nora Phillips, Tui Scally, Allis Souter and Edna Thomas. Among those present were: Mesdames Crai", Holt, Rae, Pilclier, Misses Ethel Hae° Rosette Powell, Shirley Burclier, Deci'ma Corringliam, Sibun, D. Goldsmith, Joan and Barbara Goodwin, G. Barton, G. McAneney, Gladys Ryan, Stephens, Tally Nettleton, Cynthia Lambert, Joan Brown, Piggott, Preest, Brenda Brown, Bellini, Iwa Pearson, Reka Patterson, Peggy Lee, Yvonne Lock, M. D'O.
