AUSTRALIAN PROBLEMS. SYDNEY, June 26. A resolution was passed to-day at the annual conference of the Fruitgrowers' Federation of New South Wales recommending the acting-Minister of Commerce, Mr. H. V. Thorby, to reopen negotiations with New Zealand with a view to the lifting of the embargo on fruit and, if necessary, to visit New Zealand. A further resolution was adopted recommending. the Government to place an embargo on American fruit and nuts until America allows Australian fruits to be exported to the United States.
