LADIES' AUXILIARY.
COMMUNITY SUNSHINE. A successful social afternoon was tendered recently to those ladies of other societies who assisted the association with its annual forget-me-not street appeal. Mrs. W. Bright, vicechairman, presided. Mr. H. S. Withers, on behalf of the board, welcomed the guests, who were conducted over the buildings to see what was being done for the delicate children at the Sunshine School. The children receive one pint of milk and a hot midday dinner free. Sir George Richardson briefly outlined the activities of the association and advised that a conference would be held in Wellington shortly to discuss a nationalhealth camp scheme, when representatives from the association would attend. Uncle Tom entertained with humorous episodes. Aunt. Daisy gave an interesting account of a school at Rarotonga. Among the ladies of the auxiliary present were: Mesdames W. Bright, B. J. McKendrick (honorarv secretary), E. J. Sexton, L. Eady, H. Holloway, I. Wallace, Pattullo. McArthur, Eliot Davis, Miofield, O'Neill, Grey, T. Garland, ,'omfield, Salmon, Paice* Angove, Williamson, Frankliam, Davis-Golf, Misses Shaw and E. Brown. (
