MONTHLY MEETING.

HOME SERVICE ASSOCIATION. The monthly meeting of the Home Service Association was held at the i.W.C.A. rooms 011 Thursday evening, firs. J f T. F. Mitchell, president, being 1,1 the chair. Mrs. Arthur H. Cranwell was appointed honorary secretary in place of Mrs. S. T. Carter, who is now living out of town. In her report the manager, Mrs, J. Stewart Masson, stated that there had been more activity during the past month and that many emergency calls m town and country had been received and helpers supplied; expressions of appreciation bad been sent to the office. For the usual domestic positions wages had not maintained the improvement of Past months, with the exception of posi-'' tions offering for thoroughly experienced general helpers,* when the desired high standard of pay had been reached. The committee agreed to set up a showcase in the office for saleable articles made by members of the association.
