CROSSING FATALITY.
TRUCK DRIVER KILLED. ENGINE CREW EXONERATED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HUNTLY, this day. The adjourned inquest touching tlia :ath of Joseph Harry Anslow, single, jed 24 years, employed as a driver by nited Cash Stores, Ltd., Ohinewai, who as killed when the motor truck he was ,'iving was struck by the Auckland/ellington express on March 18, was included before Mr. F. Harris, district >roncr, at Huntly this morning. Evidence was given by Dr. A. B. ameson, of Huntly, who said death had :en instantaneous. Tha. coroner said that it appeared that eceased thought the train,, which was ite, had gone through. The train crew *ad taken every precaution. He returned i verdict that death was due to a ■rushed skull and broken neck, the ■esult of being struck by the express it a level crossing, no blame being attachjible to anyone.
