ALSATIAN'S DEADLY RAID. MANGERE FARMER'S LOSS. Over three dozen Angora rabbits, -valued at £2 each, the property of Mr. R. Erdman, of Taylor Road, Mangere, were destroyed at an early hour this morning by an Alsatian dog, which was later captured.

Mr. Erdman is the proprietor of a rabbit farm and his animals are kept in pens. At an early hour this morning he was disturbed by the noise of dogs, and on going outside he found that an Alsatian had torn open several of the pens with its teeth.

When daylight came Mr. Erdman found dead rabbits scattered all over the paddock. Each had been badly mutilated.

The rabbits killed were all imported prize stock.
