MRS. DE LA ROCHE.

The last surviving member of the family "of the late Mr. George Cutts, known to the older generation of sportsmen as one of the Dominion's celebrated studmasters, Mrs. August de la Roche has died at Onehunga. She was born in Auckland in 1873 and as an infant went with her parents to Ghristchurch. There her father and uncle, Mr. Edward Cutts, established the noted stud farm at Chokebore Lodge, Riccarton. When Mr. George Cutts was appointed to the management of Sylvia Park in the 80's Mrs. de la Roche returned with him to Auckland. After the dispersal of the Sylvia Park stud Mrs. de la Roche settled with her father in Onehunga.
