FERTILISER CONVENTION.

NEW ZBAIiANDER IN U.S.A.

Mr. W. Cassels-Brown, of Auckland, manager of the Challenge Phosphate Co., Ltd., Otahuhu, has been a delegate to the autumn convention of the National Fertiliser Association, at the Biltmore Hotel, Atlanta, U.S.A. A report of the convention, printed in the "Atlanta Georgian," which, arrived in the latest American mail, states that Mr. CasselsBrown was attending the convention to exchange ideas with Amercan manufacturers. While in Atlanta lie would visit several large plants. At the convention he described conditions in the industry in New Zealand as good, saying his plant had been running for capacity production for a year or two. "I am particularly impressed with conditions here,*' he said, "especially with the enterprise and development within the industry."
