KENTISH ASSOCIATION.
The last monthly meeting of the Auck- . land branch of the Association of Men of Kent and Kentish Men took the form of a Christmas party, the programme being arranged by Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Lane and Mrs. F. Webster. An old Kentish, song and an old English carol scene were presented by Mr. and Mrs. Lane, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Robbins and Mrs. Webster; songs were given by Mrs. P. Hobday, humorous items by Mis. Lane, pianoforte solos by Miss 11. Harmon, humorous stories by Mr. Bush, and a duet in costume by Mrs. Webster and Mr. Bobbins. The accompanists were Mrs. Kobbins and Miss Harmon. Competitions were won by Mrs. Mossman, Mrs. Sholto-Smith, Mrs. J. Bradbury, Mr. Bush, Mr. Hampton and Mr. J. Hobday. The oldest member, Mr. ¥. Barber, was presented by the president, Mr. Lane, with a gold key in commemoration of his eighty-third birthday, which occurred this. week. After the president had extended to the members the season's greetings Mr. G. Baker, on behalf of the members, presented Mrs. Lane with a. box of flowers. The hostesses were Mrs. Lane and Mrs. J. W. Jenks.
