FIRE IN HOTEL.
EARLY MORNING OUTBREAK. CONTENTS OF ROOM DAMAGED. Fire broke out just before three o'clock this morning in a room on the top, floor of the Carpenters Arms Hotel, in Grey's Avenue. The prompt arrival of engines from the Central and Western Dietricts stations, however, confined the outbreak to the one room. Bedding was destroyed, and other contents were damaged by heat and smoke. The flames were extinguished with hand chemical equipment. The hotel is occupied by Mr. W. Cleary, the owners being Messrs. Campbell and Ehrenfried.
