Owing to the difficulty in securing sufficient experienced players to field a full team in representative matches, the Howick Cricket Club decided at a recent meeting to combine with the Pakuranga Club for this season. The opening will be held next Monday, when a match will be played against Whitford. It was decided to enter a team for the Manukau sub-association's competition. Prize winners for last season were:— Highest individual score, H. McQuarrle; best bowling average, A. R. Johnson; highest aggregate score (juniors), S. Warin; greatest number of catches, T. Everson. The'opening series of games in the Pukekohe Cricket Association's competion commenced on Saturday. Tuakau playing against Fukekohe Colts at Blodisloe Park, were dismissed in its first innings for 28 runs. Mills took four wickets for 1 run and Hewitt and Harvey three each for 11. Pukekohe lost six wickets for 164 runs (Fallows 75 not out). Against Waiau Pa at Waiau Pa, Mauku made 117 (C. Cooper 42, N. Hodgkinsou 27). Colburne took eight wickets for 33 runs. Waiau Pa lost three wickets for JO runs. Against Waiuku at Waiuku Pukekohe United was dismissed for 143 (Fox 68 Rose 30, Pleydell 33). V. Aspin took six wickets for 23 runs and Jack three for 50. v\ aiuku did not commence its first innings. BAY OF PLENTY ASSOCIATION. Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Cricket Association, held at Matata during the week-end :—Patron, Mr. J. Attrill (Te Puke) ; president, Mr. H. L.
