THAMES VALLEY TROPHIES. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. At the annual dance of the Waihi Rugby Union last evening cups and trophies won during the season were presented by the Mayor. Following are the senior championships :—The Pilling Cup, won by Mataura, was accepted by A. Roberts, captain. The Duff Cup for the senior champion of champions In the Thames Valley districts also went to Mataura. The Hawk Cup for the senior knocx-out went to Convent Old Boys, represented by N. Johns. The junior championship (Walmsley Memorial Cup) was accepted by P. Lundon on behalf o£ High School Old Boys, and the junior knock-out (Macdonald Cup) by R. Kingsford on behalf of Mataura. Gold medal for most improved player, given by Mr. A. J. Pollock, went to Roger Kean, Mataura. For most sporting player in the Mataura Club the Hurley Miniature Cup was awarded to Geo. Dunstan. For most improved player In the Mataura juniors A. Ludwig got the Hurley Miniature Cup.
