PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. A pleasant afternoon held by the jladies of the Mangere East Presbyterian (Church took the form of a peach blosscm fair, and was held in the supper rocai of the Mangere East Public Hall [ on Saturday. The function was opened i by t'.e Rev. Mackenzie, of Epsom, while the P.?v. Kierncy presided. Mrs. R. Ellison thanked all those who had ably assisted in the afternoon's work. Several email tables .were decorated with ranunculi, zinnias, Iceland poppies and other I spring flovcrs. Afternoon tea was. served by Mrs. Fisher and Mrs. Fountain. Brisk business wag done at the numerous stalls, wh'cli had a varied assortment of goode to offer, and the clntrch funds will benefit by about £16. The following were stallholders:—Jumble, Mrs. E. Ellison; plants and vegetables, Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Nichol; cake, Mise Murray and Miss M. Kidd; fancy {»ooc!p, Mrs. Solomon and Mrs. J. R. Hardie; sweets and soft drinks, Mrs. Urwin and Mre. McKimmon; fish pond, J Mrs. Furniss. •
