SECOND ANNUAL DANCE.
TAKAPUNA RUGBY FOOTBALL. The Bayswater boating house presented a gay scene on Saturday evening, when the Takapuna Rugby Football Club held its second annual ball. Masses of greenery and arum lilies adorned the front of the stage, while the club colours of blue and gold formed the colour scheme in the supper room, where the tables were gay with bowls of irises, marigolds and bluebells. The guests were received by the president, Mr. F. E. Sutherland, and Mrs. Sutherland, who wore a frock of phlox pink flat crepe and silver lame. Among the ladies on the committee present were: Mrs. R. G. Entrican, fcrown georgette; Mrs. J. M. F. Connelly, Burgundy satin beaute; Mrs. A. J. Jensen, black Chantilly lace; Mrs. H. Fogarty, black figured crepe de chine; Mrs. H. Matthews, jubilee blue pinspotted georgette; Mrs. C. Cherney, Lido bine chiffon velvet; and Mrs. R. A. Loe, black ring velvet.
Among others present were:. Mrs. J. R. Williamson, who wore a frock of Marina blue faille; Mrs. Ralph White, lobelia blue crinkle crepe and silver lame; Mrs. E. B. Hay ward, green floral union; Mrs. W. Leach, ecru crepe de chine; Mrs. L. Fraser, duck egg green moss crepe; Mrs. R. Reid, nut brown panne velvet; Mrs. T. Sussex, wine ring velvet; Mrs. B. Jacobi, peacock green georgette; Mrs. S. Mackie, rose crinkle crepe; Mrs. H. J. Barrett, black floral Binon; Mrs. R. Clarke, smoke bluj romaine; Mrs. J. A. Howie, chocolate brown ring velvet; Mrs. A. Whyte, sea green tinsel crepe. Miss M. Byrch wore lemon moss crepe; Jliss June Martin, flowered crepe de chine; Miss Jean Gray, brown Chantilly lace and floral tulle; Miss Betty Cranston, jubilee blue novelty satin; Miss M. Williamson, scarlet angel skin lace; Miss Mary Head, phlox pink taffeta, and net; Miss Marjorie Gregg, ciel blue taffeta; Miss Z. Potter, white mo3S crepe; Miss M. MeCaffery, white souple satin; Miss D. McKee, primrose marocain; Miss J. Ormiston, Nile green taffeta; Miss E. McKenzie, cameo pink craquelle; Miss L. Powell, Margaret Rose angel skin lace; Miss R. Freeman, black and green sand crepe; Miss M. Hewson, leaf green marocain; Miss M. Yates, cardinal red ring velvet; Miss N. Blomfield, brown floral chiffon; Miss E. Williams, emerald green taffeta; Miss P. Pratt, black satin beaute.
