ONEHUNGA KINDERGARTEN
ANNUAL DANCE. The Foresters' Hall, Onehunga, was the scene of a very successful function when the mothers' committee of the Onehunga Free Kindergarten held its annual dance. The hall had been decorated with masses of crimson lilies by Mrs. G. Rawlinson and Mrs. A. Bradley. Excellent music was supplied by the orchestra and Mrs. Sharkey played the extras. A card tournament, held in the supper room under the direction of Mr. G. Rawlinson, had also been organised.
Members of the executive committee were present and Mrs. David Cuthbert, president, presented the prizes won by the card players. The committee responsible for the success of the evening comprised: Miss R. Sutherland, director of the kindergarten, who wore a frock of gold souple satin; Miss L. Rothbury, assistant director, Nile green satin beaute; Mrs. G. Rawlinson, sunset satin; Mrs. R. Hagen, Marina crepe de chine; Mrs. J. W. Fitzpatrick, cherry crinkle crepe; Mrs. G. Wirren, daffodil satin; Mrs. H. Eustace, ice blue windswept satin; Mrs. J. Richards, black crepe de chene; Mrs. J. Ainger, royal blue lace; and Mrs. T. Shaw, brown cfepe.
