A REJOINDER.
In reply to your correspondent, Mr. T. Hendy, I have by me the Labour party's Transport Board policy, as advocated by it at the recent local bodies' elections. (1) That a more equitable fare system be introduced; (-) restoration of all salary and wage cuts; (3) a scaling down of the highest-paid salaries and a corresponding scalinjr up of the iowestpaid employees; (4) the institution of a maximum 40-hour week and a live-day week. Wo were further told "the Labour candidates can be relied upon to carry out their programme if elected." I totally disagree with -Mr. 1 • Ilendv as to the fulfilment of pledges. I fullv" endorse the sentiments, as expressed by "Disgusted Labour Voter" and Mr. Harry Woodruffe, that the Laboui' party's pledges have not been fulfilled so far. ALF. .T. THOMAS.
