MAIN HIGHWAYS BOARD.

MR. T. A. BARROW A MEMBER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The appointment of Mr. T. A. Barrow, chief accountant in the Public Works Department, as a member of the Main Highways Board to replace Mr. E. L. Greensniith is announced in a Gazette notice to-night. Mr. Barrow joined the State Fire Service •in 1913. but a year later he transferred to the Education Department. In 1924 ho was appointed inspector-accountant for the Department and in 1927 he became assistant accountant and inspector. In the same year he was a member of the committee which examined University finance, and he has been intimately concerned with this branch of work ever since. He was appointed to his present position in the Public Works Department recently.
