POTENTIAL FIRE DANGERS.
OBSTRUCTIONS IN THEATRES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) | WELLINGTON", Thursday. The Wellington City Council proceeded against three theatre companies in connection with various obstructions, in the nature of seats, pot plants and largo placards in the entrances and not railed off, which were contrary to the by-laws and were described as a serious potential dangerjn case of fire or earthquake. No penalty was sought, these being the first prosecutions. Each of the defendants was convicted and discharged.
