PEACE BALLOT.

UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

A ballot paper has been issued by student committees acting under the auspices o£ the New Zealand University Students' Association to ascertain the opinion of students on the question of peace and war. Several questions are asked in relation to the preservation of peace, in the following strain:— "Are you in favour of an international police force controlled by the League of Nations, in place of national armies. "Are you in favour of an all-round reduction of armaments by international agreement? Should the manufacture and sale of armaments for private profit be prohibited by international agreement ?" Other questions ask whether the development of the League of Nations and the acceptance of Christianity offer hope j of permanent peace.
