Whiteman, a farmer, of j Kakatahi, who had announced himself as an Independent candidate for the Rangitikei seat, while driving his motor car early this morning, was involved in a collision with a newspaper van in Victoria Avenue. Mr. Whiteman received numerous cuts, but after treatment at hospital was able to go home. Mr. O.
