OLD BOYS' RALLY.

MOUNT ALBERT GRAMMAR. INTEREST IN THE SCHOOL. Old boys of the Mount Albert Grammar School held their annual reunion during the week-end. The large attendances at the various functions were an ample demonstration of the loyalty and good fellowship existing - among former scholars of the school. At a smoke concert held in the school assembly hall on Saturday evening, Mr. V. 0. Butler presided over an attendance of 250. Among the many messages received wishing the reunion success was one from the president of the Old Boys' Association, Air. O. S. Hintz, who is at present in Wellington. In proposing the toast of- the school, Mr. Butler said it had achieved many scholastic successes and also held a prominent position in all branches of sport. He mentioned the fact that all boys attending the school were required to play some game unless they were medically unfit to do so, and stressed the influence that School House had en the life of the school. The headmaster, Mr. F. W. Gamble, who responded to the toast, paid a tribute to the enthusiasm of the old boys, and said that all was well with the school. In urging the need for all old boys to take a keen interest in the affairs of their association, both business and social, he said that there was no reason why the association should not wield a definite influence for good in the Dominion. Other toasts honoured were "Absent Old Boys," proposed by Mr. M. Tongue, and "Kindred Associations," proposed by Mr. D. Sumner and responded to by Messrs. D. G. Rennie (Sacred Heart College), A. B. Rainger (King's College), N. A. Kyle (New Plymouth High School), A. L. Grieg (Dilworth School) and H. G. St. V. Beachey (English Public School). Old boys yesterday visited the school and the school farm, and were entertained at afternoon tea at School House. The reunion will end this evening with the annual ball at the Peter Pan Cabaret.
