DEATH OF V.R.C. CHAIRMAN

MR. L. K. S. MACKINNON. The death has occurred after a lengthy illness of Mr. L. K. S. Mackinnon, chairman of the Victoria Racing Club, aged 74. He was born on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. He was a solicitor by profession, and one of the pioneers of Victorian racing. ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS. INQUIRER (City).—Prince Acre was withdrawn from the Dunedin Handicap at 11.40 a.m., and Scotland at 3.3 p.m. on the day of the race.
