CONSPIRACY CHARGE.

YOUNG MEN ARRESTED,

SUM OF £75 INVOLVED.

Two voung men arrested yesterday appeared in the Police Court this morning on a conspiracy charge. They were Reginald Morton Semh, aged 29, electrician, and Matthew Edward Daubney. 22, salesman, both of Christ-church. " They were charged that on July Hi, they did conspire, each with the other, with intent to defraud by false pretences, and obtained from Arthur Raglan Gatland the sum of £75.

Senior Detective Hall obtained a re mand until July 27 at Auckland.

One of the accused aske<l for bail.

Senior Detective Hall: Considering the seriousness of tho charge and the penalty provided, I object to bail being allowed either man. There may be others implicated. Mr. W. R. McKcan, S.M., refused to grant bail.
