AIR PAGEANT.
SOUTH ISLAND GALA. OPENED AT NELSON TO-DAY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON, this day. The South Island air pageant commenced this morning in glorious weather. The zero hour competition was won by ZK-AAX (Western JStraehan being the pilot. The machine arrived exactly at 11.30 a.m. A.C.H. (Western Federated) arrived at 11.29J, A.A.A. (Marlborough) at 11.20), A.B.A. (Manawatu) at 11.201, A.B.E. (Wairarapa) at 11.30 J. A large number of machines arc arriving to-morrow, and the function promises to be a great success.
