"QUALITY STREET."

CHARMING ROMANTIC COMEDY. A delightful setting and the charm of olden day frocking together with a clever interpretation of Sir James Barrie's attractive play, made "Quality Street," which was presented by the St. Cuthbert'e Old Girls' Association in the Town Hall Concert Chamber last evening, a most enjoyable production. The acting was well up to standard, and the hand of the producer (Miss Nell Lush) was evident in many of the subtle situations which make "Quality Street" one of Barrio's most successful plays. The part of Miss Phoebe, of the "soft, sunny ringlets, which clustered around her face," was taken by Lowrie McGregor, who portrayed very cleverly the part of a grey little schoolmistress who, in the twinkling of an eye, became her own vivacious niece. As her sister, Linda de Renzy did excellent work also. Her timidity and horrified support of the prank played upon the clashing Captain Brown was very well clone. As Valentine Brown, Kenneth Warburton, who has a very fine voice, was suitably dashing, gentle, and understanding. Mr. A. D. Bathurst filled the somewhat difficult role of an affected young officer very well, and as his companion Betty Buttle was also good. The Willoughby sisters were Frank Heron and Valeric Anderson, who wore most adequate, and other parts which were well filled were taken by Shirley Wat-kins as Henrietta Turnbull, Trixie Abel as Pattv, the maid; Alan Leonard, a

recruiting serjreant: Phyllis Rawson, Charles Carr, John Quigley, Bub Ruter. and Ronald Bowie. The performance will be repeated this evening. The proceeds are in aid of the Community Sunshine Association.
