FARM DEALS
ACTIVITY IN NORTH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, Friday. Confidence in the future of rural lands in the North has been shown in several property transactions which have taken place recently. Messrs. Fletcher and Bossawen yesterday completed the sale of a 207-acre dairy farm at Whatitiri, about 10 miles from Whangarei. TJie price paid was in the vicinity of £33 per acre, the deal being entirely in cash. "Please send full particulars of all sound farming properties, irrespective of price," is the request made by a large Wellington agency firm. The principal —himself a retired farmer whose opinion is held in high repute—after visiting the North last year, expressed his conviction that the cheapest farming land in New Zealand is available in this district. Inquiries from Auckland indicate that big business will be done this season in northern properties where the deposit ia from £500 -to £1000.
