BOXING.
PALMER DEFEATS GEORGI. VICTORY FOR NEW ZEALANDER. (Received 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Boxing at the Leichardt Stadium last nicht ill a heavy-weight contest of 15 rounds, Ambrose Palmer, 12.6, beat the Italian-American Petro Georgi 12.7, oil points. It was a splendid exhibition. Palmer received a cut over the eye in the first round, but, in spite or the disability, succeeded in outboxing his opponent who, prior to coming to Sydney performed well against most of the leading Americans, Including Rosenbloom. In a preliminary bout the Jvew Zea lander, Billy Pascoe, 13.1, knocked out Jerry Keilly, 12.8, in the second round.
