MELBOURNE, February 23. Miller, Australian captain, saved the day for Australia in the last stage of the final croquet Test match by defeating the English captain, Du Pre, after the other Australians had been routed in the singles. Australia thus won the series by an outright win in the first Test, the second and third being drawn. In the other singles, Poulter defeated Morrison, Wewyss defeated Hunt, and Petley defeated Windsor.
