DEVONPORT CLUB'S REGATTA. ARIKA WINS DUDER CUP. KOMURI BEATS TAMARIKI BY Is. The Devonport Yacht Club held its regatta on Saturday off Victoria wharf. There was a fresh breeze from the south and some very good racing resulted. The finish between Komuri and Tamariki in the 22-foot class was the best seen oa the harbour this season. Both boats ran level, with Tamariki in the weather berth for the last 200 yards, when Komuri, which had been luffing Tamariki all the way down from the lop mark, ran olt enough to get the gun by four feet, one second being the official time. Celox won the H class without the help of the handicap.

The race for keel yachts for the Dueler Cup was well contested throughout, Ariki winning by 22s from lorangi. Thelma'a mainsail split into three pieces nearing the finish. The new V class boats, Arlene and Atlanta, had their usual keen race, Arlene getting the gun with a margin of 2m 455, but Maia won on time. Marlene won the S class, although the Namu kept her moving to do so, Marlene's new mast standing well. The handicapping in the T class was very good. Mulmai got the gun, hut Karoro wou on time by 3s from Kea, with the scratch boat. Mulmai, only 14s later. Maroro, liking the fresh breeze, was first home in the M class, winning by 31s from Manene, which had one reef down. Eight Wakateres had a good race, the new boat Wakarana, handled by J. Brooke, getting the gun and a win. Some trouble was caused after the start of the L class by a competitor running down the a»nrk boat. She anchored and took the place of the mark boat, but the line was short and several boats got foul of her, Surprise losing her mainsail. Results :— Keel Yachts.—This race started at 2.50, Altair getting away first, with all the others, except Waione, close up. The handicaps were: Ariki, scr; Thclma, 4m; lorangi, 3m 30s ; Little Jim, 12m; Waione, 13m 30s; Kotiri, 15m 30s; Altair, 18m; Windward, ISm 30s; Mahaki, 22m; Kotuku, 26m; lona, 26m ; Janet, 30m. On the lead up harbour from Bastion to the mark off Stanley Point, Ariki was leading lorangi, 3m 20s. Thelma was third, 7m 25s behind the leader, Little Jim being 12m 8s and Kotiri 14m 20s. Nearing the finish Thelma's mainsail split right across and was hanging in three pieces. The finish was : Ariki 4h 6m 465, lorangi 4h 10m 38s, Thelma 4h 16m 16s, Little Jim 4h 21m Is, Kotiri 4h 24m 525, Windward 4h 31m 17s, Altair 4h 34ra 50s, Mahaki 4h 35m 395, Kotuku 4h 36m 295, Janet 4h 37m 495, lona 4h 39m 295. Result: Ariki 1, lorangi 2, Janet 3. L Class.—The finish was : Komuri 4h 50m 17s, Tamariki 4h 56m ISs, Valeria 4h 5Sm 13s, Me-lita 5h 2m Is, Waialae 5h 3m lis, Wairere 5h 6m 13s. Waima oh 9m 13s. Result: Komuri 1, Tamariki 2, Valeria 3. Only Is, or about 4ft in distance, separated Komuri from Tamariki at the finish, but Komuri won by lm 31s on time, H Class.—The finish was Celox 4h 36m 565, Omatere 4h 40m 545, Calypso 4h 45m ss. M Class.—The finish was Maroro 4h 23m os, Manene 4h 23m 31s, Maratea 4h 25m 48. Result: Maroro 1, Manene 2, Maratea

The Manukau Cruising Club held its annual regatta on Saturday. Races were held for the Denison Cup, the ISft championship pennant and the McGahan Cup for lGft yachts. Three boats competed for the Denison Cup. The finish was: Aoma 4h 6m os. Elsie 4h 12m 525, and Mystic 4h 12m 455. Result was: Aoma 1, Elsie 2, Mystic 3. ISFt. Championship.—There were four starters for the 18ft championship pennant, held in conjunction with the Denison Cup. They were Mystery, Mystic, Ranul and Reremai. The finishing times were: Mystic 4h 12m 455, Mystery 4h 13m 20s, Reremnl 4h 10m os, and Ranui 4h 17m 30s. The result was: Mystic 1, Mystery 2, Reremai 3. McGahan Cup.—Eleven boats started for the McGahan Cup for IG-footers and under, they being Awatu, Merry Scot, Aloma, Wixie M., Sea Gnome, Sea King, Betty Fay, Mirimai, Lone Star and Val. The finishing times were: Sea Gnome 4h 3m os, Mirimai 4h 11m 58s, Aratu 4h 12m os, Merry Jest 4h 13m os. Aloma -Hi 10m 455, Sea King 4h 17m 31s. Fay 411 17m 455, Betty 4h 18m 345. Wixie M. 41i 22m os. Val 4h 22m 7s, and Lone Star 4h 28m 15s. The result was : Sea Gnome 1, Mirimai 2. Aratu 3. Handicap Sweepstake Race.—The finish was: Sea Gnome, 4h 3m; Aratu, 4h 12m; Merry Jest, In 13m; Aloma, 4h 10m 455; Sea King, 4h 17m 31s; Fay. 4h 17m 455; Wixie M., 4h 22m ; Val, 4h 22m 7s. TREVIC SHIELD. CONTEST FOR Z CLASS. The annual contest for the Trevic Shield was held on Saturday by the Takapuna Boating Club, Delphine, Victoria Club (Master Colin Dennes) winning, with Akarana Club (Trevor Johnston) second. The finishing times were: Delphine (Victoria) 4h 53m 41s, Trevic (Akarana) -lb. 53m 475, Betty (Richmond) 4h 54m ISs, Benny (Point Chevalier) 4h 55m 555, lolanthe (Tamaki) 4h 56m 495.
