CHURCH UNION.

ACTION ON REPORT. Important Step by Lower House Of Canterbury. CONVOCATION DISCUSSION. (United P.A.—Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, January 2.3. The Convocations of Canterbury and York are engaged in discussing the reunion of churches. The Lower House of Canterbury took an important step towards reunion by deciding unanimously to accept the report of a joint conference between representatives of the Church of England and the Free Churches. The report contemplates a revised constitution for the Church of England, which will render easy the acceptance of the principle of episcopacy for members of Free Churches.
