NORTHCOTE CHURCH.
OLDEST ON NORTH SHORE.
The seventy-fifth anniversary of the Northcoto Anglican Church—"the first church established on the North Shore, and consecrated by Bishop Selwyn—is to bo celebrated to-morrow by special services. The service in the morning, at which the preacher will be the Primate of New Zealand, Archbishop A. W. Averill, will bo attended by the Mayor and members of the Northcoto Borough Council and several other organisations. The Rev. W. Netana Panapa, diocesan Maori missioner, is, to be the preacher in the evening. Since St. John the Baptist Church was opened three-quarters of a conturv ago, the original building has been enlarged, and a parish hall and vicarage provided. The vicars of the parish included the Revs. 11. E. Hevwood (until 1864) and Kerr, Archdeacon F. G. Evans. Revs. A. L. Hitchcock, 11. S. Davies, A. F. Smith, Canon F. W. Young, Revs. •J. Lawrenco Greer, A. J. Beck, P. C. Davis, J. Carew Thomas. T. South worth, Canon E." J. McFarland, and the Rev F. W. Wilkes.
