Y.M.C.A. AND Y.W.C.A.
RESULT OF STREET APPEAL.
Tlio amount raised as the result of yesterday's street appeal on behalf of the Y.M.C.A. and tlic Y.W.C.A. was over one-third less than the sum collected last year. The total amount was £200, which will be shared equally by the young men's and the young women's organisations. Last year the amount was over £400.
Mr. V. T. Drew, secretary of the V .M.C.A., said that they were grateful to the public for its response, although it would by no means release the associations from their financial difficulties. The following were the principal collections:—.Jewish ladies, £27; Ponsonby ladies, £20; Rotary ladies, £16; ■Y.W.C.A. girls' department, £13; cafeteria committee, £13; Home Service and Hospital Auxiliary, £12; the Federation of Congregational Women, £12; Y.M.C.A. Auxiliary and St. Andrew's', £12; Y.W.C.A. Service Club, £11; Y.M.C.A. Young Women's Auxiliary £11. "
