DOMINION CONFERENCE.
TRAFFIC CONTROL PROBLEMS (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. A wide range of questions concerning traffic control is being discussed at the Dominion conference of traffic officers which opened yesterday under the auspices of the Transport Department. This is the first occasion on which the traffic officers of both islands have met in formal conference, and the Transport Department welcomes the opportunity of hearing their views 011 traffic problems. Business has so far been chiefly conlined to discussion of proposed amendments to the traffic regulations. Delegates to-day inspected the braketesting apparatus, traffic control measures and other points of the system of supervision employed by the City Council. An address was given by Mr. J. S. Hunter, Commissioner of Transport.
