FATE OF WATERLOO BRIDGE,

LONDON, May 31

The House of Commons to-day by 194 votes to 159 carried a motion refusing the London County Council power to build a new bridge to replace the existing Waterloo Bridge. The House thus reiterated its decision of 1932 in favour of reconditioning the present bridge for four lines of traffic.
