VETERANS' HOME.

An enjoyable concert programme was presented at the Veterans' Home, Auckland, last evening, by Jack Do Rose and his Rose Tim© Follies. The entertainment was arranged by tlie_ South African War Veterans' Association. The president, Captain J. A. Algie, expressed thanks to the artists, and Mr. De Rose responded. ~ , ~ Mr. E. W. Lahman, president, said the members of the association included several of those in the Home/ and there were also a number of men who served in the Great War. The Rev. T. B. Halhdav spoke of the veterans, and expressed thanks to the artists, among whom were- Mr. and Mrs. McMinn, Messrs. A. Bailev J. Smithson, W. Smithson, L. Bickerton, H. Lahman, T. Butler, ,T. De Rose and Mrs. I. Smithson, and the Mounce sisters. The accompanist was Mr. W. Purcell.
